Wilderness Permits--none required for the Thousand Lakes Wilderness; enjoy your visit


Your trail leaves Bunchgrass Trailhead and continues through featureless forest for a few miles before arriving at Durbin Lake and a nice waterfront campsite.

You eventually ascend to splendid Everett and Magee Lakes, and their excellent campsite.

After the final climb to the wide-ranging views from Magee Peak, you descend down the other side of the mountain to Magee Trailhead.

The beauty of a shuttle hike, no retracing of steps.  This is the only one of our hikes which is a shuttle
